Maya hardware efficiency

This is one of my trusty gaming keypad I used for animating in Maya. I've recommended it to my classmates at AnimSchool and there's been positive results. It's definitely made me animate faster and more efficiently.

A little motivation for the creatives who are low on it.

This is an extract from Ira Glass. I think he was a radio presenter I'm not sure, but if you do a youtube search you will be able to find this vid. This was first introduced to me by my instructor Mr. G. It's always been one of my motivational aids.

Judo tutorial on body mechanics, weight, transferring weight, and balance.

This is a judo move called the Tai Otoshi, when I was a lot randoris (judo competition) this was one of my favourite moves simply because I thought it was explosive, easy to maneuver into, it requires a lot of attention areas.

This is a great instructional video on body mechanics, weight, pivoting, transferring body weight, balance.

Compare the image and the video. There's more of a gap between the two fighters. I wouldn't consider this an accurate representation of the move above.

p.s. Bent Knee - safety reasons. If your leg is straight, and your opponent lands on your leg, that's it.

Man I just freakin' love Judo!

My First Blog Post

It's about bloody time I created this blog. I'm really glad this is starting to come together, and I'm very grateful to the supportive comments I was given to get this thing start.

I just want to point out a few things of what you can expect from visiting my blog.
- Interviews with talented artists from top studios around the world delivered from the animschoolblog.com
- I would like to post as much 2d drawings as I can, hopefully I can get some comments and feedbacks
- A student animation reel (hopefully one day)
- Software and hardware related topics
- Motivation from this gym junkie!

What not to expect.
- A comparison between iAnimate and AnimSchool so don't even think about asking

So let's get started.
